Hello Everyone

Has any one ever noticed the open hole into the Pull Starter Assembly when the pull starter is bolted up to the engine? If you look at the pull starter from the front of the engine with it installed on the engine you will see a triangle shaped hole that leads directly down into the pull starter assembly..... or am I just missing some magical piece that is suppose to keep the dirt and ROCKS out of my pull starter? Any one ever noticed this and or how did you fix it?

Thanks

Here's a video mod/fix about that hole.

What a stupid problem. Clearly, the back plate should have a flange on it that matches the housing. Talk about a part mix and match setup. What is this? An AMC? lol

I have smaller engines that have a flange on them to match the housing, or no flange and the housing is shaped to fit anyway.
