So after managing to break its front diff twice in a week, very easily too! I fitted an Alza Racing centre diff kit which has totally transformed the truck into an utter tank!

I’d never really backflipped much before so took the opportunity to learn using the Savage. I drove the Xmaxx afterwards and by comparison it felt a bit wooden and lifeless, not slow, but just not as nice to drive or as responsive.

Chuffed to bits with this truck now and I’ve already ordered the 5mm chassis kit!

Here’s the video, not great footage as I had to use my phone again!

I was amazed at the handling difference adding the super 5sc trans with a center diff in my savage flux hp. Made it far less twitchy and could easily drive much faster because the front was less likely to come up (or do a standing backflip). It really does transform into something much more driveable. Also makes it less likely to eat a diff, so adds durability too.

Must say, adding a centre diff was amazing. Tried mine on 6s yesterday but limited it to 50%. Thing is nuts! I'm too scared to use it like this ??

I go WOT in my Flux HP a lot. You just have to feather it a bit or it will still end up on the roof. I'm running 750k though (mix of 2/3 500k and 1/3 1M) in my super 5sc trans with a center diff. It really did change the truck for the better though.

I need to adjust my centre diff oil, Would like to make it thicker, I now have 1M oil on hand so I can make it way more thick!

Will likely create a new truck profile in my transmitter and adjust the expo & limits for the time being to run 6s. I'm a noob when it comes to flux still so I need to do some more research into gearing for 6s - and check if my motor can even handle it okay

I'm trying to figure out the gearing as well. I have a thread with my progress.

I'm currently at 16/48 with wrapped trencher 3.8's on it. Still runs warm even with a high velocity fan on the motor and esc.

@Gazmk2 rims are HPI Savage Warlocks and tyres are HPI Savage Dirt Bonz :)

Must say, these have been my favourite tyres so far! Had trencher 3.8's prior but they just warped on me after a couple months!

I use the truck a lot on hard packed dirt jumps at the local dirt jumps and these work great... Just not when its a little wet, she slips and slides a lot when its wet (*insert dirty joke here) ;)
