Savage 3 speed assembly question

So the hpi Pn77054 44 tooth gear has a web in the middle of gear. Do I remove it? I know dumb question right but the instructions show it removed but don't say specifically to remove it. I haven't tackled this or opened the trans up yet. Just looked at instructions.

I think the center of that web is a spacer to be used elsewhere in the transmission if needed. So yea, the web comes out.

Yep, looking at the 3-speed manual, that spacer is noted for the top 3 speed input shaft.

You likely don't need it as you should already have one in there. I wouldn't expect it to be a perishable item, just something you need if your converting from 2-speed to 3-speed or building from scratch.
