hi all. new to RC's, purchased a second hand savage 25 and need somethings help/advice. after figuring out a few of the problems I'm still having a few. it seems that the rear drive isn't as powerful as the front? is this normal. i tried going up a bit of a hill and the front wheels just seemed to spin but the backs stayed still. it does drive all 4 wheels when its off the floor. ive read loads about adjusting the HSN and LSN think I'm still not getting that right. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

You will get alot out of these threads in this forum....

for your issue with the rear wheels not driving I would look at the pin attaching the drive cup to the transmission, at times they fall out or break, if not in that area then disassemble the rear differential and check for broken teeth on the ring or pinion gears,
the rear should drive as strongly as the front due to there being no center differential inside the transmission so I believe your trouble is as I outlined above.........

right thanks. i did have the pin fall out on me at some point and ordered a new one as it was no rear wheel drive at all. ill have to strip it down at the weekend see what i can find. the previous owner messed around with it too much theres some screws and rounded screws everywhere. absolute nightmare. but thats what you get from eBay

Make sure you add some Loctite to that pin when you replace it!
