Hi I have a question I am having difficulty tuning my f4.6 and was wondering does it make a difference if I tune on a block with wheels off ground or should it be on the ground also I have watched videos where people are setting the idle gap the manual says 1mm is this the best setting for idle gap reason asking is vid I watched said once gap is set don't touch and tune low speed to adjust the idle just want some opinions with savage owners on what's best and easiest for the X f4.6 I am running torco 20% car nitro thanks for any help or advice....

I would say running on ground is best as the engine is under greatest load/stress. Best to tune an engine that is fully saturated with heat. 1mm idle gap is typical starting point but usually it will be a bit less with good tune. Tune the HSN for peak revs then tune the LSN and idle. The idle rpm will need adjusting as you tune the LSN for peak acceleration from standstill. Plenty of tuning threads to read if you search and YT videos.
