RPM Reciever Box

I am in the middle of doing a 250cc Mid Tank, and I bought the RPM reciever box for a RC10GT. I have seen pics of this box used in Savages when doing the 250cc mid mod. Some have mounted the boxes with the opening for all the wires on the top (upside down), and some have mounted with the wires going into the bottom (right side up) I am trying to figure out what the best way is......if the wires go into the top, then I would assume the wires would be better protected, but if the wires go into the bottom then box could drain water and mud and look al little cleaner (hiding the wires). I'm debating what the best way is.....any thoughts or suggestions??

water and electronics,don't get along.
how ever you mount it,seal it if you know you will be playing in water and mud

2x on sealing. get some silicone and plug the hole for your wires and make a gasket for the lid. the best way is going to be what works for you. i would choose what ever way keeps those wires protected better

ive never had a problem with water in mine. i don't have it sealed or anything, and none of my stuff even got dampm i run it upside down, and it seems to avoid the water and dirt and whatnot that way.
