Question about savage xl reverse

Hey guys had a quick question I added reverse to my xl and went step by step and now I'm testing on my table it just doesn't seem to work smoothly at all now I might be over reacting but when ever I switch from reverse to forward or vice versa and then I start to roll the truck its like it catches and then goes into the forward or reverse mode I just want to know if this is normal because I've added reverse to other rc models etc trucks cars and they all worked smoothly switching from fwd to rev without binding or catching.

I would expect you would be having notchy shifting because of it being an add on unit, make sure the servo is getting the correct throw for each direction and see how it goes.....

Yeah it seems to be operating like it should. I tore it down last night just to make sure everything was installed correctly and it seemed like it was I will just try running it and see how it acts.
