Ok guy's & gal's just want a little of your imput, :stressed: I'm sure you know by now I have the twin engine savage and I have been working on this for a while now, I should be able to get this thing out soon for it madin voyage, what I am running on it now is the Ofna Hyper 8port and thats what I have run on this since I took the origanal Star .21 off a long time ago, now the thing is I want to upgrade to another engine, don't get me wrong I like the Hyper 8ports never really had any bad luck with them, expecially since I had run the first Hyper for a very long time, and by time I mean 12 Gallons, Woo-Hoo, some people might say thats not that much but almost everyone that I had talked to said that was unbelieveable, expecially since it was not in anyway puppied, I raced at a track every week faithfully and a lot of times I would come off the track at the end of a race well over 300*, it finelly came apart last summer and I had bought another just as good, now I want to get something different for the twin setup, I was thinking Orion Wasp .28 X 2 ,,,, what do you think,,.. :werd:

If you get a Wasp .28, get the "Race" .28, not the regular one. Unless they've revamped it significantly recently, it's a POS. Some people have had good luck with the, but those folks are few and far between.

If your Hypers still run well and reliably, I'd stick with them at least until you get your truck finished and tested. That'll tell if you more power will be helpful or if it'll just make it that much easier to flip it on its lid, going nowhere fast. If you DO decide more power is the way to go, for power, reliability, and ease of tuning, I'd probably go with a couple LRP Z.28s or maybe the Axial .28 Pro.

I thought about the 30's but my word talk about power, it should handle it everything is upgraded to HD with the exception of the outer axel drive cups I cant seem to find them any where,, HD that is, Hmmm, since this will be just for fun now and it wont see another race the 30's might just be the ticket:bling: , I still have my Ofna PCR 1/8 scale for that and will hopefully be getting another Savage that I could set up for the track, that is if I ever get to one,, Thanks

Hey twin, I have a wasp 28 and have decent luck with it. I have it in a mayhem buggy and it is ballistic. but it is not the easiest mill to tune. It has a turbo head. which that means the plugs will be more expensive to. If it were me I would go to a different mill like the axial or the LRP. They are just as good for about the same price and are alot easier to tune and cheaper on the glo plugs. I also have the axial 32 which has been a great motor with brutal amounts of torque. It would definitely power your savage and not kill the pocket.

Thanks lifter, I just thought about the orion .28 cuz the price is about the same as the hyper 8port, them plugs must really be salty cuz I know the plugs I get are not that cheep, macoy 9's & 59"s I think could be wrong on that its been a while since I had bought a plug,, but I do know they werent that cheep,, but thanks again I have something to think about till I get them, incomtax time,,,,,..

Hey lifter you running the Axial 4.6cc or the 5.2cc, I am looking at them and trying to see the difference pro's con's and the price looks good too..
