So I am in need of a power supply for my charger.

Friend of my dads asked if a normal automotive car charger would work on a setting of 10amp?

Connect the leads from the battery charger to the leads on the R/C battery charger?

Not sure if it would work or not, wanted to see what you guys think first before I attempt it....

no it wont work parker the charge does not provide a stable charge but more of a pulse. but if you hook a 12volt batt to it it will keep the batt charged while it runs the charger

Ya I'm not sure if that would work well.

Parker I do make one and sell. If you are interested please let me know and I can get you some pictures and a price. It allows about 16A at 350W.

If you go to ebay.com you can find cheap power supply's made for server racks, computers, DIY machines and so on. You can find anything from 3volt and up! I bought a 25 volt switching power supply for my hyperion EOS0615I Duo3 and made myself a handy box that can hold the power cord and has a nice handle so I can take it with me where ever I need it!

Computer PSUs are a good source of high current 12V power. Pay attention to the detailed specs though, not just the watts. You want one with a single 12V rail, and you want that rail to be highly rated. Here's a PSU with a 25A 12V rail for under $30 with good customer reviews. When converting a PC PSU, just remember that black is ground, yellow is 12V, and you need to short green to ground to get it to turn on. That's all you need to know to build your own fancy power box like j-revo.
