If the engine rpm increase dramatically, it indicates that the low-speed setting may be too rich.

So basically if the low speed is too rich, fuel will build up in the case which will decreases the RPM because of excess fuel so when you pinch the line(Cutting off fuel), the case will clear up so the RPM will increase right? If it is really rich, RPM will drop alot due to too much fuel and that's why when you pinch it, the RPM will increase dramatically right?

If the low-speed setting is already too lean, the engine rpm may not increase much at all, and the engine will stall rather quickly.


So basically if the low speed is too lean, no fuel will be building up in the case, basically when you cut off(pinch) the fuel, it's going to die quickly right?


Is my interpretation correct?
 
Sounds about right, I think most people say that the motor should die at around the three second mark. More than that and it's rich, less than that and it's lean.
