Should i keep stock and just replace parts as they break or are there any hop ups or optional parts i should invest in that will not harm other parts as far a breakage goes to make the durability better?

As stuff breaks do the hop up version of that part for now

the TVPs are the metal side peices on your truck. the strongest part of your truck

is there links to the different types, i just want to know the advantages of the different types, a low cg one sounds good to me, doing backflips is not a big deal to me, getting hugh air is what i am looking for and a little better control as low cg helps with besides wider tires for stability?

You can get new 17mm adapters, XL axles (widens the truck), XL TVPs and a longer body. Maybe some rear hub carriers that eliminate the tierods. Do you have the bulletproof diffs and velcro on the battery doors?

as far as i know all new flux's come with the bulletproof diffs i can check, will it say it somewhere? and no i do not have velcro on the battery doors, why would i need velcro?

Yeah I ordered mine in December and got the old diffs. :crying: Just take off the skidplate and you will see the diff teeth.

BP left, old right.

Velcro is used when you flip the battery boxes so they fully open on the outer side and you don't have any problems putting in your lipos.

I also a newbie. Tks for posting pic on diff between BP diff and stock one. I haven't check on my new flux. Will check whether i got lucky with BP diff. Rep for you man for showing the diff.

Here are some list of TVPs u can look at:
I suggest u go for extended tvps. This will give ur flux the same length as Savage XL. I hate wheelies too. So i have entended tvp to keep my flux nose on the ground.

This all comes down to personal preference. Your flux in stock form is pretty darn tough.

fact of the matter is that if you bash your truck hard, parts will break. period.

Most of us on this site enjoy "hopping up" our trucks just as much as running them.

Only thing for me is that id be leary of running a flux on the stock AM radio. Is it perfectly fine with the stock AM? Probably. my pref is 2.4Ghz tho.

any suggestions on a good 2.4mhz radio and receiver combo? I also checked the diff and they are the BP ones, they are not close together and have flat teeth on top, they do not come to a point.

do the radios work with the existing servos on the truck or do i have to get new ones and is it easy to setup? Expensive upgrade, does it make a difference in response and control from the stock radio?

You can use the stock servos till they give way. You can spend as much or as little as you want on a radio. They are easy to set up just take your time.

opted to go the cheaper rout with a radio and reciever and picked up a traxxas 2.4 with link. Should be much better than the stock radio. Today when my friend was using his cell phone i lost control to the truck.
