new to this hobby

well iam new to this hobby and i got a 4.6 savage and got a few questions to get my truck running good... i got a chrome head peice one peice exhaust kit suppercharged o it runns so good its fast as hell 3 speed tranny ... but i have noticed that there is smoke black oil comming out of the exhaust ? what should the temp be of my motor? it seems to run around 195 ferenhight.. sorry i cant spell.. :thinking: then today i was running it and my truck just stoped dead then wouldnt fire up..... then i was looking at the suppercharger and it look like it blew apart i will post pics up tommorow as i tryed to fix it and i was wondering if any one had some tips for me:chainkiller:

remove s/c - junk
reset to stock hsn/lsn settings
fire it up
retune

welcome to the forum buddy. sounds like your mill might be running a bit rich. when you tune/lean up the motor, you will notice a bit less smoke & oil, but you always want to see a smoke trail & will always get some unburnt fuel.

there are tuning videos on here we can link you to which are helpful.

also, the truck "not staying running" could also be a result of the motor being tuned too rich.

welcome to the forum my friend,and i have to 100% agree with the statement above,"GET RID OF THE SUPER CHARGER" they act almost like you have a air leak and are extremely hard on your engine..running a super charger shortens the life of your engine big time and you will be looking for that "sweet" tune forever!! take the super charger off reset needles to factory specs and start again!!

the suppercharge ran good for a while i took it off and it ran alot better thank you ... can you guys help me out and customize my truck
