My return to nitro!

So when i was younger we had a track at the neighbors and that lasted about three years they moved away and the track got leveled now 10 years later my older brother finds all his old stuff and gives it to me now that i have property to build my own track I'm getting back into nitro and what he gave me seems to be a HPI Savage ss its beat up things are missing but i loved my old savage i had before well the problem I'm haveing it finding parts and what is truck exactly was i have a os maxx RG that was in the box of parts with the truck but the body that came with the truck is an xtm racing body and says 24.7 engine on the side what would i have to do to make the os motor fit in this truck and where to find parts no i don't have the 24.7 I remember him blowing that up along time ago and since then gone any help would be great full

Welcome to the nuts that is NITRO, what kinds of parts are you looking for, e bay or A Main is 2 of the best sources for parts, as for the Engine, most all big block engines will fit the Savage lineup, just make sure to use a savage flywheel and I would put on Alloy shoes and new springs on the engine.

Maybe a few pics of what you have as of now and some of us may be able to help you find parts and get it running again....

Okay thank you for the motor info I'm pretty sur I'm missing the mounting plate for the motor to the frame I'm sourcing one of them from ebay now And i will get photos tomorrow and it looks like I'm missing a plate in between the rear skid plate and the rear diff and the hols aper to be striped out theres also a clicking from the font diff that does not sound very healthy at all.. 🤦‍♂️
