With the DesertBoyXL Tvp's and the placement of everything the wheels do not come off the ground on 4s all the power goes right to the ground and it flys. My coworker has a slash 4x4 and we did a drag race and we were even the whole way. I am very happy that a truck that weights almost 3 times the amound has that kind of speed!!

The truck without body or batteries weights 12.60 lbs. tire and rim weight unknown at this time, i will take them off truck and weigh. The shocks are used and i only paie 45 for all 4, i suppose they have standard or stock weight oil maybe 30 to 50wt. Once i get the other weight info i will update.
I am in the process of getting a F-650 Proline body and painting it green to match the rims.

i have used both and the LST2 have a better rebound stock than the big bores do. Plus they look nicer. It is only my opinion, anyone can think what they want and i encourage input.

thanks man. I'm more interested in a downward shot to see the motor/tran & batteries.

i thought the packs get mounted inside the tvps in the rear on these tvps?

The batteries mount in the stock battery trays, the desertboy-17 batteries can mount in between the tvp. The motor and tran as well as the escape mount towards the front. With this setup I can no longer pull the frontend up off the ground with 4s. Also the handling is much better with the offset wheels.

nice tvps, and i like the lst shocks, if you like something other than the "in" part, i say go for it...ive gotten some flak for using cvds instead of flux bones, but you know what? i like them better

oic so there are 2 different versions of desert boy, 1 that mounts the packs inside & one that uses stocker trays. 😉
got it.

excuse my ignorance, ive only seen these tvps once or twice / pretty kool.

hey hypnotic, i put the rear hub carriers on and the toe is out on the outer part of the tires, is that normal. Also with that kit it does not come with a shorter lower hinge. Is there one shorter, cause I do not know if that pin will move around and gauge the rims up?
