My 1st Nitro, a Savage XL!

I have decided that my 1st RC nitro will be a hpi savage XL, but bought off ebay as I am on a tight budget (no more than 110GBP) and i don't want exceed or redcat. I am currently looking at: http://www.ebay.com/itm/HPI-SAVAGE-X...3D141274234473. Can you have a look and see what you think (and post if you see a problem)? I know the K5.9 is not seen as a paticuarly good engine, but this one say ofna on top, so i'm assuming it,s aftermarket. It does not come with a radio so can someone tell me if this will fit: http://www.amazon.com/HPI-Savage-TF-.../dp/B00FC1SBS0

If anyone can think of another good nitro beginner's car can you tell me? I have a friend who is getting a Jato, although I want something a bit better off-road.

That radio will work just fine in the Savage.

I'm more of a Futaba kind of guy and so would also consider looking at the Futaba 4PL.

The only thing I see with the 5.9 engine is it is a little finicky to tune but when you get it right it is a great motor, I have some Losi 454's, 427's as well as some LRP 28's, a 30 and a LRP 32. The 5.9 seems to be as good as those so far, I havnt had it a long time but I have ran over 2 gallons of fuel thru my XL. I would not hesitate owning another 5.9. JMO.

so I see that someone bought the truck? was it you? I wouldn't buy it personally because I don't like aluminum. but that's just me.
