Pull start in my opinion is better, no battery, just pull & go , not difficult to change out.
 
FWIW, every LRP engine I've owned liked to be at least 80F to start. Anything under 50F and you could pull the cord until your fingers bled and not get a pop out of it. Between 50 and 70, they fight you.

I've had a few of the 28's and 30's over the years. Even when fully broken in (which takes about a gallon, maybe a bit more), they still hate starting when under 50F.

I don't run nitro's hardly ever anymore, when I do, it's warm out so not a real issue.
