Hi guys! I have read similar posts to this before, I have just received my new LRP .32 Spec 4 and looking to swap the carburetor around so the linkages are all correct for my Savage XL. As you can imagine, I do not want to break this. I have seen mixed messages, some saying to unscrew the screw a few turns and bang the collar through the engine casing. Others say loosen the screw then the carburetor will come out. Please may you advise which one is the correct method.

Thanks

Been fiddling about and managed to solve it. For anyone else who is wondering, the LRP ZR.32 Spec 4 carburetor is removed by unscrewing the bolt on the side partially and giving it a gentle tap. This separates the two parts inside and the carburetor comes out easily.

Glad you got it figured out. I've never really had to tap on it to take it out. Just loosen the the screw and give it a twist usually sets it free too. And while your at it, seal that puppy up before you install and break it in.

When they are new, they tend to not be fully "locked in", just snug as they assume your going to have to pivot it to fit your linkage. Well, most engines I've bought new were that way. It's only after I snug it up does the cinch bolt tend to dig into the carb neck a bit and get stuck. Then a bit of tapping/wiggling is needed to break it loose.
