losi lst xxl or hpi bigbore shocks for flux xl

Hello!

I bought used savage flux xl roller with losi lst xxl shocks(plastic ones) and i-rc lst shock conversion kit..

The deal is that 3 caps are broken,one shaft and shaft end is busted, probably need new cartridges with seals to prevent leaking...
So aluminium caps,shaft etc will cost me around the same as new hpi bigbore shocks(plastic)..

My question is are lst xxl shock worth repairing or should i ditch them in favour of bigbores?

How they compare those shocks in bashing etc..?

Anyone know where to get only shaft end for lst xxl shocks..

I've never ran big bores, so I can't compare the two. But IRC's LST shocks take alot of abuse. Now clearly you don't have IRC shocks because yours have plastic bodies. IRC does sell alot of upgrades for LST shocks as well, including a kit to upgrade them to 8mm shafts. That should makes those shocks darn near bulletproof. As far as your rod ends you need, it depends on what size shaft you're using. IRC sells 4mm and 8mm rod ends.

Shocks are from losi lst/aftershocks/raminator...Mounting kit is from i-nnovative rc..

Problem is its hard to find parts for those shocks if i do find them shipping to europe is killer

Well IRC is in the UK, so you're good for shipping with them.

You should have 4mm shafts, so the rod ends would be these:

I recommend upgrading your shocks to the 8mm kit:

ive never ran the lst shocks, but I have the big bores. the big bores are nice, but the lst are a little more flexible aJustment wise.
