Cross referencing the hpi part number shows it also fits a lot of .28 engines. That link has dimensions you could compare to the hpi part. Should be pretty close

The back plate design where starter cog is positioned in top corner is better for excess through shock tower, rather then it being half way down unless the newer savage x shock towers give better excess then my original savage 21 type?
I even had to source the HPI 225mm long starter wand as I have the wheelie bar fitted also!

That makes sense fitting a .30. Cross references to .28, .30 and .32 os motors. I went thru this on an lrp.32. Had to buy as a bump start and did a lot of research finding a roto start backplate for it as Lrp was out of business when I got the motor.
I was suprised how interchangeable a lot of these manufacturers are.
