I'm back and I have some questions

Hi everyone!


It's been years since I've owned a savage,last post here was about 2012 I think lol.

Well I was on offerup one day and came across a savage in OK condition for dirt cheap,figured why the hell not. Its as good a time as any to get back into this,especially since I just moved and i'm looking for a hobby.

So as of now I have to purchase the following

Transmitter unit (I hear the FlySky FS-GT3B is the way to go?)
Roto Start shaft (Cant find this ANYWHERE,any help would be great)
Air Filter (straight forward enough)
then the simple things,glow plugs etc.


Also,I didn't have time to remove the engine to take a look at what I got. is anyone able to confirm which one I have by these pictures below? Any help would be greatly appreciated and I'm SUPER excited to make this truck look brand new. Will be a nice little project for me,so if anyone has any of these items laying around and they would like to help a fellow RC guy out that would be great,I'd buy them of course. Don't want to look for any hand outs haha Thanks again!!!



if it helps the body does say Savage X 4.6,wasnt sure if that was the correct one or not

Which roto start do you need? there were a couple I think. One that was just a hex and another that was like a dog bone end.

FlySky is relatively cheap and well liked.

Definitely looks like it could use some TLC.

That's a K4.6, which only came on the Savage X SS and Savage SS. If you post more pictures of the truck we can confirm what you have.
