Ignitor Question????

How do I know if my ignitor is no good?? How about glow plug. I was running my truck yesterday and it ran fine for about a 1/2 tank. Then it shut-off. I tried restarting it but was unsuccesful. I know it is getting fuel, but I believe there is no spark. Is there a way of testing spark??

A plug will be shot if you see no red or if the wires bent up funny.

You igniter is toast when it will not hold a charge or will not make any blow plug worm up.

take your glow plug out of the heat sink & plug it into your glow it. if it glows orange its working, if it doesnt, then your plug is bad or glow ig is dead.

easiest way to check it to put a second glow plug in the glow ig & see if it works.

thanks, I'm going to try taking it out of the head and seeing if it is glowing! (never thought of that!)
