ok ive about had a bait.for about the last 2 weeks if i leave fuel in the tank for longer than 5 mins. it hydro locks.i havebeen playing around with doing a mid tank mod, well kinda i had the tank setting in top of the receiver box to just see if there would be a problem with the big tank i had chosen. and it would lock,so today i went back to the way it came from the factory and it still locked. well before i changed it back i sealed my motor.i had to replace the front bearing cause that was where alot of the fuel was coming from there.i have replaced all the fuel line with new.
I'm puzzled about it.cause with the problem i can make the wife think its the mill and she will give me the ok to get a new one.i just don't want the same thing to happen to a new mill.
i know they make a thing to put on the fuel line but i don't want it since it worked fine from the factory.

got any ideas

if you store it with any fuel in it,i mean for even 5 minutes to let it cool off between tanks, it will shypon the fuel out into the motor ,then it runs out the exaust till the tank is empty

A properly sealed motor will actually pull a vacuum while running. That, coupled with the tank pressure will send any available fuel left in the tank while not running straight into the engine untill the pressure and vacuum is fully relieved.

When you stop running, and still have fuel in the tank, pop the fuel lid for a few seconds...

ok ive never had that happen to me b4.....but I'm using lots of fuel line and a shutoff valve and my fuel lines run under the truck not around the motor so that maby why..

thanks moto ill try that. i don't like to run my truck all the way out before refueling

And you are right, and you don't really want to do that. But doing what moto said is the fix, but try to make sure you have the piston is BDC when cooling. With the piston down, that will kill the vacuum inside the engine. Also, not 100% on the proper length of the fuel lines, but it may be possible the line from your tank to your engine maybe to long. If its to long, it will create a vacuum inside the line and that will syphon the fuel out as well.

well nick with the tank back in the factory place the fuel line is perfect.ive heard of people wrapping the line to take up slack so it will run longer on its lid,but not mine.
as for bdc,its marked and i always check that.
i put it up yesterday with less than a 1/4 tank of b.y.b.fuel and i looked before i got on the puter and it is on top of the freezer that the truck is sitting on

You lost me? Are you still having the problem? Moto solution should take care of the problem. I'm referring to suggestions to prevent the problem from happening.

one note, is if I'm not mistaking the fuel lines to the engine from the tank come wrapped around the engine in a lot of RTR models from the factory. I do, not to keep the engine running after a flip, but for temperature reasons, and flow control. You don't want it to short. But I could have misunderstood you. Sorry if i did.

hydro lock means your engine has locked from water correct? lol...I'm thinking you mean your engine is flooding?
