Interesting, but it looks like a stuffed pig in those TVPs. Also, what is with the tiny gasser? Only 15cc?
 
Took HPI long enough since I saw the first sneak preview of it it must be almost 2 years now.... hope they got all the bugs worked out waiting so long is tough to do.....
 
Maybe with Losi releasing their new gasser, HPI will pick it up and get the Savage Octane soon!
 
Unfortunately, last I've heard there is no release date yet on the Octane. :(
 
HPI has gone through a lot of changes in the last year.
I think they are in a re-grouping process trying to make sure they are in good shape before they release anything new other then minor changes to their existing products.

I have heard that the gassers are still floating around several manufacturers R&D rooms but nothing has been set for release.
 
that thing looks better than the Losi and 10X better than the Redcat. One can dream ...
 
Tower just put it back on their site showing availability in early May. I really like this truck but $869.00 is not for from a 1/5 scale which comes with a lot more power!
