    Usually up to the cross bar so that when you drop in the top sun gear, not much oozes out, if any.

    lol.......
    I use Mobile1 20/50 synthetic in all my gearboxes.
    If its good enough to keep my harley lubed, its good enough to keep my savages lubed
    AND its cheaper than RC lube
