I find myself the owner of 2 sets of HPI Big Bore shocks. I didn't notice when I ordered the second set but they have plastic bodies vs the alloy bodies on the first set I purchased.

I know alloy shocks are generally better for racing and thats what I intend to do. But are they not bashable? I noticed the FLUX comes with the plastic shocks so I'm guessing they might take a better bashing but I don't know as both sets are still new.

Aluminum bb's are amazing.
I took a little tumble at the track and the shaft bent all the way up to the shock body and didn't even but a dent into the body.

also picked up another set with hell fire caps hellfire shafts for $30.

i think this could be a plus on the plastic bodies is plastic is frogiving on the shafts and wont bend them as easy like the alloy bodies would i think that gose for just about any shock with long shafts lol
