I bought a bag of extra parts for my Savage, it contained a 19t clutch bell and a 51t spur gear. My Savage has a 17t clutch bell and a 47t spur gear. Would my truck be more responsive or have a better top end with which combo, or should I leave it the way it is? My truck has a LRP 28 spec 3 for a motor. Also I put the 3 speed conversion in the tranny and now I cant hear it shift, what is wrong? Is it just out of adjustment? Rechecked, I was wrong, my spur gear is a 49 tooth.

I currently run a 16/48 combo with my LRP .28.

As far as hearing the shifting, yes it is likely not tuned correctly. The manual can be found in the link below:

Thank you very much for the info!! This was my first Savage, I got it off of my neighbor that owed me money and I don't know much about them. I have always had TMaxx's and Revos until recently.
