I already ran it for a test.

It started on second pull full of after run oil for assembly........

It sounded awesome, reved up like a BANSHEE

It is still raining out here so I cant do any real testing.

I will shoot a short clip for you (fred)
so you can hear it run.

Warning don't Watch This

I just could not resist to run it, its actually still drizzling and the sground is wet

I did get it to pop a wheelie in the rain

here is a little peak at your baby Fred

even though the grounds wet looks like it still was "hooking up" well.. lots of power there i would say.. I'm gonna get my little 4.1 overhauled in the near future wonder how she'll rip then? lol great work crash as always!!

thanks guys

I do love this aspect of the hobby

although, this engine was my last for a while... I am so grateful
for all the knowledge that I have gained from Robin that I
would prefer he get the business. We have spent several nites
on the phone helping me learn how do this stuff rite.
He is a good guy and an expert engine modder, I'd love to see
him do well here so, hit him up for some modding guys.

I'm glad you asked....
.
i ran it a little bit after work (in the dark) when i first got it back & it ripped. Was dying to get out during the day & 'see.' Hooked up with Bank, Jud, Gean, Basher-T, & Visionary yesterday & shot some vid....
.
When you watch the vids, keep in mind that temperature was in the 20-30 degrees range so i had to richen things up a bit..... Also, ran my stocker clutch shoes & HPI #5 plug (my mccoy #8 was shot).
.
here is a "warm-up" & jump vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5C6vURWeLDw
.
and here is a little vid of Basher-T & Judicator at the controls with me filming

Conclusion i am in r/c addiction like never before...my mill runs so smooth & stays running right through my whole 250cc of fuel. I'm noticing better fuel consumption & my savage seems to run forever... & oh yeah, almost forgot......the massive power is INSANE !!!! if anyone has never experienced a modded engine, it truly brings this hobby up about 10 levels.. i cant see running a stocker again! the video tells it all; it is so fast, you have a tough time following it with a video camera. cant thank you enough bro! +reps

With people like you around, it's MY pleasure to be a part of the family..... Thanks Crash:resp:

time? you mean time of year? it was November & extremely cold that day probably just above 25 degrees.

thanks for the good word xll. I love that modded F mill, its a beast.

Ive done some speed runs but hadnt shot any video.

Last Fall i scraped up enough cash to get a Picco .28 & got Crash to agree to mod it after many hours bugging him :stickpoke:

After i get the picco all run in, i'll put the F back in it & shoot some warm weather vids.

i liked the F mill from the beginning, caz it makes good power & is very easy to use. Modding really woke it up tho. Ive had offers to buy it, but i wont part with it.

Hey, can you guys possibly tell me exactly which dremel bits were used in the process?

not really

I can tell you that the sleeve work was done with small round diamond bits from menards
The rubber polishing bits are from dremel
the crank work is done with various stones made by dremel
the polishing bits and wheels come from dremel & hardware supply
the polishing rouge can be purchased at hardware supply
replacement engine can be bought at SMF if you mess up

good luck!

Not planning to mess up my F4.6, I'm planning on messing up/practicing on two old, worn down .28's I've got. The F4.6 sleeve doesn't need much effort in modding, would it be worth it risking it? I'm planning on doing the crank for sure, in a very similar way you did yours back in the day. Thanks for the info!

as a beginner, I wouldn't mess with the sleeve on a F

time the crank and see what you can do there
