So, I've stripped out the hex on my Savage Flux HP now for the 3. time using 3s packs..
Anyone else having this issue? Wheels coming off? Broken rims?
Kind of worried about using aluminum rims due to weight?

Been having alot of issues with the wheels coming off on my savage, even when using red loctite.. Haven't tried the green one yet, feels a little extreme..
I've tried tightening the wheel nuts to the point I was worries I would strip threads, but they still come off..

Tried alot of possible solutions, but kind of circulated in on the hex nuts, as it seems the hex hub of the wheels quickly get some wear on them.. (Wheel issue seems to get worse with wear)

Do you have the wide axles or regular width?

The HPI hex's aren't that great, the corners aren't overly sharp and are prone to stripping hex's in high power situations. You could try some aftermarket ones like the hot racing hubs. Theirs use a typical 17mm nut as well which spreads the force over a wider area than the HPI nuts do.

Those seem promising, think I will try them =) Thanks!
