Hi Guys,

Getting back into hobby slowly. I was thinking if anyone has any idea or tips on installing a 1/5th scale 2 stroke engine into a Savage?

Now I do not hate nitro, actually love them but 2 stroke petrol engines are so much more fun and longer run time and more reliable. So does anyone have any idea or pictures of a project someone undertook? Anything will be appreciated.

I've seen it done over the years, but the end result is an engine that isn't designed for RC and is way too big for the narrow centerline of a savage, which makes it top heavy and tippy.

Without making your own chassis entirely, like a wide pan, then figuring out how to get the trans/bulks attached and new center drive figured out, you tend to end up with an unreliable truck.

^ what he said. Your best off to just get a 1/5. After opening a few now, I'll probably never go back to nitro.
