I have been looking for a nitro alternative so when the Savage Flux was introduced I had Rod at hobbieguyrc order me one.Next I needed battery's.I spent some time checking out battery's and decided SMC's would be the battery I started with.Bryan at SMC was a big help and suggested the 5200mAh 7.4v 24c The next item I needed was a charger.Bryan at SMC suggested the Hyperion EOSO61Oi DUOII as I wanted to charge 2 battery's at one time and sync them as one pack. The truck arrived first. The battery's showed up a week later. All I needed was the charger, it showed up 3 days after the battery's but I did not order the correct balance boards. The boards were delivered about 5 days later.I ran the truck totally stock as it came out of the box for the first run. This truck is a hand full, as others have said you need to learn how to use the throttle. The run time on the battery packs was around 18 to 19 minuets. The next run a week later was with 17mm wide offset Maxximizer beadlocks and Losi Kingpins.I had hoped the extra weight of the tires would help tame the throttle down, but it seemed to have no affect on it.Wheelies and back flips were still just a quick blurp of the throttle away.I just finished running at the track I have at the City Compost site ( I have a agreement with City Council to let me do this) and this truck is simply unreal. It has more power (or should I say torque) than any of my RB Mod motors. You really have to learn how to drive this truck.I did change the steering servo to a Hitec 5998TG before taking it to the track. The run time was 15 to 17 minuets running it hard.My charge times using a Interstate SRM24 battery for power and the Hyperion charger set to sync and a 5 amp charge rate are about 55 minuets, glad I ordered 4 battery's.At this point I do not need more power but would like more run time from the battery's.My only complaint is the battery boxes make it hard to change battery's ( this just gives the nitro trucks time to catch up) I am new posting on forums so I hope this is the correct way to post.I will try and post some pictures of my Savages and shop later

Welcome to the forum bud.Post some pics and vids so we can check out you Flux....

Welcome aboard Ben. I do lots of business with Rod at hobbieguyrc myself and know him quite well. Where exactly do you live, we are always looking for others to run with. I live in Worthington but am in Sioux Falls lots. Are you one of the guys that live just north of here?

Anyhow welcome aboard and looking forward to talking more with ya.

I have recently ran my Buddy's FLUX which we put 2 3s lipos in it and its a real handful like ya stated. Lots of fun though. My bro got it to do a double back flip before landing back on the wheels. Are you sure your not getting more than 15-17minuets. With these 3s 4000mah packs we were getting more than that i'm about positive but can't confirm.

Welcome to the Flux family!

They are fun rigs for sure... I am running two 3s packs in mine and it is out of control.... Almost TOO much power! Definatley too much for running on a track, thats for sure.

Well you def. did it right. You got the best Electric monster truck on the market, the best batteries(not being big-headed, just stating what I believe)and by far the best charger. The truck is a blast with the 4S setup alone. 6S will make you wonder who came up with this idea!!! Good Luck and Thanks for choosing our products.
