Finally tried 8s

Been wanting to try this and finally tried 8s! My redcat rampage xte is down so I swapped my max6 esc to the Savage and loaded up the 4s lipos. Didn’t get to run too long as one tire blew on me. Need to upgrade again.

I wrap my tires on my 6S trucks with 500lb cored kevlar cord to help keep them from blowing apart on me when doing backflips and whatnot. Been running the same set of trenchers for a couple years without issue. I also wrapped my backflips on my outcast similarly. Even though the cord isn't straight, it still helps a lot.

8S had to be brutal on that thing. What motor are you running?

Running a 4092 1480kv always felt like it was lazy on 6s for some reason

just bought some dboot backflips 6s wheels and tires see how they hold up.

I have a slipper center diff and low punch helps tame the low end down but the top end is nuts

Yeah, could imagine... the torque has to be pretty crazy. What weight oil in the center diff?

I have a 4092/1650kv coming in the mail for my outcast to run on 6S (max6 esc). Not sure why really... bit of a kneejerk purchase.

Running 750K in my Super 5B trans/diff, it's a handful on 6S. Could probably drop back to 500K and make it easier to drive... but that's a lot of work. lol! I went from 500K to 750K when I was on 4S. 500K tamed it too much.
