F4.6 v1 and v2 compatibility

Does anyone know if can you just drop the F4.6v2 engine straight into an older savage x set up with the original F4.6 v1 block?

Nitro newbie so apologies if obvious!

I have done that, so from my experience you can! Same bolts for the engine mount, same dimensions.
