This is how it came when I got it. Tried to hammer it and it didn't budge. Any tricks to get it centered?

hit it harder!! try putting a small socket over the short end then hit the socket. make sure to place the longer end on a hard surface tho like top of a vice or anvil for example

Like others have said but heat it up aswell to get metal to expand & stand a better chance of moving pin! ??
