Did I kill the RX?

Hi

I noticed the antenna of the rx unit of the savage octane is broken.

So i am puzzeled what is tge best way to fix.

I can solder the wire ... But i have no idea if its a good fix.

After all it should work for only several tens of meters ...

From tge other hand i can change for a regular hk rx .. And use the simple controller .. After all the original controller is not something to be exited with ..

I do have an external failsafe unit to apply brakes if no link.

What do you smart guys think ?

Solder it and do a range check. I replaced the reciever in mine but the new one didnt work with the radio noise from the ignition so I put the old one back in.

So i soldered the wires .. But it is looding link after like 30-40 meters ...

Where can i but the wire for this rx ?

It's different than an FM antena

I don't see why it wouldn't. Looks like the same connector. Not sure how long it is though. Looks like it could be a bit shorter than the HPI one.
