custom half roll cage

ok guys i have seen a lot of peeps doing custum cages for the full truck however i don't want my truck to be to heavy so i am making a back half roll cage

so for the guys that have done there cages is there anything i need to look into or do i just get on and do it

all trial n error.. just go for it n make sure to get pics ..lol make sure to think if a body is going on it ... how it will fit under it ... or how the body post will go with it .. things like that ... good luck..

what are you planning on using to make it out of?

4.5mm steel rod for the main parts ie were it joins to the chassis so on and the rest from 3.5mm steel rod were you need to brace it

or do you think that will be to much

should be ok .. my cages are all 1/4 round bar stock ..

good job looks nice and beefy should hold up great .. whats it mount to on the truck?

i removed the back body mount and it fixes to that ie were the 2 holes are
and on the standerd handle thats it

or do you think i should do more to make it harderd wearing

looks good .. like it with the body to .. looks like itll do its job just fine
