Hi

How do I know when it is time to change the clutch shoes?
Any specific indicator, measurement to go by?

Is aluminum shoes the ones that gives the best grip, or are there any better alternatives?

I tend to use the spring groove as a wear indicator. Kind of like how treads are used on tires. When you wear down to where the spring is near flush with the top of the groove then it's time for new shoes.

That, or if your clutch shoes grenade......that's usually a good wear indicator too. :)

Aluminum seems to be the material of choice these days.
