Hi people, just out of interest what thickness springs are you using on your 3 shoe set up?
Have had to fit the copper/gold 0.9 mm thickness using the Fastrax Clutch tool as could not seem to bend the thicker ones passed my fly wheel nut to then push down in place, think I need a fly wheel nut that is domed shaped at top to help push down further to engage shoe & spring on post!

Never managed to fit 1.1mm springs, 1.0mm and below go on standard HPI clutch nut, usually a few swear words and never used a tool. Different clutch nuts may have the groove at different positions which may affect shoe position.

I usually use Mugen 1.0 springs and nut. Works great.

Yes that’s the f/wheel nut I was looking at as its doomed at top you can hopefully get spring onto post before tensioning spring with clutch tool, as with current nut being more squared I can’t bend thicker spring low enough down below top of nut to get started!

Have ordered the Mugen f/nut, intrigued now to see if I can use/fit thicker springs using this nut & clutch tool!
