Product: CD's Electronics Sanyo 2700mah 6v Battery Pack
Price: $35

Quality: WOW is all I have to say! When I first received this pack it was very nicely packaged in the "anti-static bag" (LOL my mind went blank!). For this pack I did get a hitec rx plug and a deans charging lead. I wanted the deans charge lead because for one, my charger already has the deans plug and keeping up with an adapter is just a pain for me. The Battery pack itself seems to be made VERY NICE. It is shrink wrapped and the soldering looks very professional, not something you will find on a store shelf that is mass produced.

Charging: For the first charge of this pack I charged it at a .5 amp. It did take forever but I felt for first charge it would be best. The charger I am using with this pack is a MRC 959. It has the peak detection, and charges from .5 up to 4.5 amps. At the first charge it stopped right at 6.52v and it lasted for about 3-4 tanks. I then charged it again at 1.5 amps and it stopped at 7.38v!!! I was shocked and after that it took FOREVER to kill the battery. On the third charge I charged it at 1.5 amps again and it stopped right at 7.35v. I have had the pack for quite a while now....but to be honest, it just doesn't give up! It is only on the 3rd charge for me and seems to hold up quite well when not using it.

Size: The size of this pack is quite big but not a huge problem. (Remember this is a AA pack). I am running a midtank setup using the CEN radio box. With this pack and with the extra charging lead it does make for a tight fit but somehow I do manage to get all those wires crammed in the box....how I don't know! I am told it will fit in the stock savage radio box if I am not mistaken with "some" modification that won't affect any strength of the box itself.

Overall: Great pack and priced perfect! So far I love this pack and for anymore packs I will definitely be going to Chris for anything else! I bought a Traxxas pack about a year or 2 ago and paid $33 for it and just about any other 6v pack that is 1500mah+ is going to run you right around $25+, so why not spend a little more or the same and get a 2700mah? Just my .02 though.

Great write up bud. I received a pack from him as well and have very good things to say about it so far and how it was packaged. I haven't used it but it looks like it should work just great.

Thanks for the compliments dude! I completely missed this...sorry. Should note that I have gotten away from welded bars and went strictly to soldered high-temp. teflon-coated wires.

Do you want decals for your truck body Parker? :resp:

The modification needed to fit inside a stock radio box is just a piece of bracing plastic. Cut it out and it won't weaken the lid.

Pardon the electrical tape on the prototype pack. haha
