Looks like it getting hard to find replacement OEM o-ring sets for carbs, so thinking why not just measure their size and find one that fits.

Has anyone done this? What o-ring material is best?

It's usually the HSN which goes first and starts to move on its own.

Most of my engines are LRP, SH and Nosram so they should all have the same size o-rings.

I put 1 new O-ring on the carb of my 5.9 recently. It felt like the carb was real easy to turn back and forth. The new o-ring didn't help alot and it is still not starting. Not sure where to look next.

Can't use silicone o-rings? Figured that would be ok considering that's what's used for the coupler and many fuel tank seals. I got a few sizes of silicone ones off amazon last year for my LRP28S3 as the HSN was changing on it's own. Seemed to work ok.

Might have been my OS21Tm... either way, I used a silicone o-ring.
