i picked up a new steel spur gear for my savage x and i wanted to test the gearing for a tank or two before i upgrade my clutch bell. this is regarding the savage x. the clutch bell i have is the stock hpi metal one. i read that when running steel spur gear you are supposed to upgrade the clutch bell to a steel/hardened clutch bell otherwise the spur will damage the clutch bell or whatever. i wanted to ask if its possible to run a few tanks atleast? i don't care if the clutch bell goes to poop at the end of the run, i just wanna be able to test the gearing, for example if i like how it runs then ill buy a hardened clutch bell with the same amount of teeth, however if i think i want more tq then ill buy a smaller hardened clutch bell

hope that makes sense!

thx
