Bell rubs brake disc

Got my new xl today and broke in the engine and then I noticed the bell was riding the brake disc

Not sure how I overlooked it before starting the break in

It broke a couple teeth off the clutch bell and chewing up spur gear

The solution is to change the gear ratio so it moves the engine over some so it doesn’t rub again

Someone else said to grind the brake disc down which I’m not a big fan of doing that
