Wow, did you have the old X with the plastic cases? If so get some alloy cases with the 4 bevel gear set and shim them. Than you will be fine I would think. I have like 18 gallons on my stock bevel gears and they are still like new. I ditched the cheap plastic cases within a gallon of fuel.
