    Nova Clutch shoes

Just curious Really just curious why people are so high on these. I'm a newbie about a gallon and a half into my first rc. Have had my issues but I can do back flips on command. So I'm not sure why engaging harder is a good thing. Slipping I can understand as it would create more heat (melt...

    Nova Clutch shoes

Just wondering why every forum discussion I read about shoes, EVERYONE is over the top on Nova? What is it they do better? Same question about Mugen springs? They seem to go hand in hand.

    Bad Karma

Forgot to Mention Once I had the engine out I was playing around a bit and was rotating the clutch bell. It had a clear wobble. I took it off and out spilled a bunch of loose ball bearings. The inner bearing was in shambles nothing but pieces and fragments. Are these events related...

    Bad Karma

I'm begining to think this is payback for getting the deal of the century on my Savage X on ebay. About a month ago I picked it up for <$250.00 delivered never really expecting to win it. Yes it was NIB. Since breakin it has been broken. Won't go into all the past issue but here is the...

    Newbie Needs advise

New guy, first nitro is a Savage x 4.6 RTR. Took my time breaking in nearly through a gallon. Was hoping to run all day but..... We took a tumble, running on newly cut grass I turned to hard at high speed and we did an awkward tumble kind of a left rear over a right front cartwheel. Again...

    Double slipper spur question

Just recieved a couple of spurs from an ebay deal. Was in a rush to replace since I lost mine after my breakin ( yes I'm a newbie). Good news is I bought two from one guy and two different teeth from another hoping one would make it by last weekend. One guy sent a single and the other a...

    Hump pack question

Sorry if this was answered somewhere else but I did not see it and chalk it up to a dumbass newbie. Just recieved a 1200mha HPI hump and charger from an ebay deal, was advertised for a savy x etc, etc. Problem is the pack and charger have a 3 prong hookup. Savy and the AA pack are two...

    Breaks question - newbie

The linkage travels freely both directions. Just does not seem to put enough pressure on the spring to be effective. As I said just a slight tug on the adjuster knob and the tires lock up just fine.

    Breaks question - newbie

Everyone has been a great help on the other questions I'm sure it will be the same here. I'll feel whole on my initial rc savage if I can lock up the breaks. Here is the deal, the initial set up was not even close at neutral position I had to close the adjuster down so far to make contact...

    fuel

Byron 20% Just an fyi, the lhs only had 1/2 an 1 gallon containers. No mention anywhere this was intended as a breakin fuel. Just about through the first gallon. Everything continues to be just fine, as far as a newbie can tell.

    Newbie in SE Michigan

big track reply Big track is right especially for a newbie. My driveway is 35x90 approx all concrete, thought I had plenty of room at least for a decent breakin, NOT. It worked but after breakin I started running in the back yard, 150x300 (before I encounter some imovable objects, OAk TREES...

    fuel

Byron Just check the label and it is clearly marked 20% nitro/16% oil. I was doing a bit of research prior to firing it up and I'm sure at the Byron site they tell this is a blend of 4% castor/12% synthetic if I recall correctly. I wanted a mid range on both nitro and oil and this seemed...

Byron Newbie first post here, my first RC ever, Savage X 4.6 just broke it in last weekend on Byron Race Gen 2 20% w/16% oil. Everything was puuurfect! I did run a bit hotter plug as a throw away after the breakin but it was clean as a whistle so it is still in. Thing runs crazy fast and...
