SOLD / FOUND FS:HPI SAVAGE XS FLUX RAPTOR - CUSTOM HD

I just gotta say that that is one sweet looking truck, but you must have the patience of a saint to have never driven it. I would do terrible, terrible things to that truck.

    I'm definitely interested in this.

Thanks X! I'm all about driving it like I stole it, then getting MacGyver on the case to get it running again. Here are a couple .gifs from my backyard playground. Excavated for a new barn over the winter, been thoroughly enjoying the dirt piles it left behind. I'm fortunate to have an awesome...

    Waterproof receiver box

I abuse the absolute hell out of my truck using that stock box, haven't had any issues with the radio getting wet. Rain, slushy snow, wet grass, sloppy mud, puddles 4-6" deep, nothing has gotten to the rx yet. If you're really worried, you could stick the rx in a balloon for extra water...

Here's a few pictures of my truck. It's not a show truck, that's for sure. It's got more zip ties and frankenstein'd pieces than I can count, but it's my favorite basher. I even included a picture of my "custom" rear modifications, lol

    Waterproof receiver box

Yours doesn't have a receiver box? Mine came with this. It's not completely waterproof, but it's fine for driving through puddles and wet grass. You also want to get a waterproof ESC. The stock blur esc is not waterproof. I went with a Mamba Monster 2 and have been happy with it so far.

    Different LiPo brand

Everything X said was on point. I personally start with pairs of batteries for my savage and use any widowed batteries for other trucks that only need a single pack.

    Savage HP Waterproofing

I was looking at the HPI Specs page: https://www.hpiracing.com/assets/documents/instruction_manuals/105369-sf50wp-glb-m-v1.pdf It lists the SF-50WP as 288.8oz/in at 6v and the SF-50 as 266.6oz/in at 6v. Are their spec sheets overrating their stuff? I hope that's accurate, because I ordered the...

    Savage HP Waterproofing

I just noticed that my truck has a HPI SF-50 upgraded servo in it, running 266 oz/in. I see there's an HPI SF-50WP, waterproof version of this servo, with 288 oz/in and available for under $50 used on eBay. Anyone have experience with that particular servo or a comparison vs the Savox servos?

    Savage HP Waterproofing

Hey guys, been lurking for a while, finally made an account. Picked up a used Savage Flux HP a little bit ago and I'm working on making it waterproof (more like resistant, I know). I ordered a Castle Mamba 2 for the esc. Having trouble picking out a good servo. Anyone have a recommendation...
