    Nitro to LiPo race conversion

I still have to wait till I get my tax returns before I will be able to do much else on it. My new steering servo will be $150, $300 for the motor/ESC combo and $130 worth of batteries should get me going nicely. I might be able to pick up my servo if I can sell one of my planes I'm trying to...

    Receiver mounting

There should be a set of holes on the left TVP that are the same spacing as the steering servo mount holes on the right TVP. The 2 mounting holes on the RPM box line up perfectly with 2 of these holes. Inside the RPM box there is one hole that needs to have a screw go through it and a nut on...

    Vrooms midtank Savage build

The rear of the tank ended up lining up perfectly with one of the servo mounts inside the box so I left that to mount the rear of the tank to. The front of the tank ends in the battery compartment so there is nothing to mount it to in there. So you have to drill a small hole in the bottom of the...

New to the savage... from a revo driver.

It was the original braking setup on the Savage X. It consists of one fiber brake disk and two alloy brake pads. They did update the braking system eventually to two red fiber disks and three alloy pads. That setup is good too so either one of those will work. Its the setup with the alloy disks...

    tell me what i need

The RX you have should be fine as long as you have the radio to go with it. You should take all the A arms off and thoroughly clean the sand out of everything. Unless you just plan to run it is sand then don't even bother.

The F4.6 is the updated version of the K4.6 so I would go with the X. The Savage X is a great truck and your buddy will be very happy with it.

HPI Big Bores alloy vs plastic

I find myself the owner of 2 sets of HPI Big Bore shocks. I didn't notice when I ordered the second set but they have plastic bodies vs the alloy bodies on the first set I purchased. I know alloy shocks are generally better for racing and thats what I intend to do. But are they not bashable...
