Trying to keep my engine cool

I'm going to experiment with different plug setups soon. Go from Cold to Medium to Hot to V Hot to see how it goes. I also need a new clutch bell because the old one seems rather worn. If only I can find some time to do all this now...

Trying to keep my engine cool

I was running a medium plug. I have a cold plug in there now and it seemed to like it much more. Started easier and seemed to run better. I am also running the stock wheels and tires

Trying to keep my engine cool

20% O'Donnells, Hpi polished Aluminum Performance Pipe, Gen 2 F4.6. I've noticed that my clutch bell is looking pretty worn down. I'm thinking I may just upgrade the clutch and clutch bell while I'm waiting for winter to role around... Any suggestions of what to get?

Trying to keep my engine cool

Gear mesh is fine, but i think its a 47T actually. Its the steel spur the truck came with. When I was rebuilding the entire clutch, I got a new collet, cranked that thing down as hard as i could and the flywheel seemed like it was farther away from the block then it was before. Starting to think...

Trying to keep my engine cool

I'm running a 17T clutch bell and stock spur which I think is 60T. However, It appears my clutch bell seems to rub against the spur a little bit when it should spin freely. need to look in to that... seems fine when running though.

Trying to keep my engine cool

Hey all. Savage has been running good ever since i did the tank mod, threw in a Fresh Cold O.S plug. Finally been able to get a decent tune, running a little rich right now actually. But I've run into some problems involving heat of the engine. She likes to get hot really quick, id say around...

Getting rid of the half tank lean issue

all i did was flip the mounting piece so it was facing outward. I then drilled a hole through the bottom of it and lined it up with the same hole where you would mount it normally. I put two washers between the piece and where it meets the body, and screwed it in.

Getting rid of the half tank lean issue

Lol, ill trim the bolts sometime, I ordered new ones because the originals were bent. They sent the wrong ones and they fit so I just said screw it and used them. I was actually concerned about the problem you just listed, but i even tried at full compression the bolts didn't touch the tank. The...

Getting rid of the half tank lean issue

Hey all! Man its been a hot minute since I've even been on this forum... haha my bad I guess. So lets get down to business. I finally got rid of that old 160cc stock tank the savages came with. I was sick of it leaning out on me and I really didn't want it damaging my engine. So I finally bought...

I just give up with my x4.6

Mine would do a similar thing where it would stall or rev up and spin the wheels. I found the problem to be part of the clutch assembly. If you haven't figured it out yet just keep tinkering, or what I recommend doing - checking your clutch and making sure it's in good condition.

In need of a Collet for the x4.6

Got some run time and tune in today! The clutch rebuild did the trick! No movement from the truck without throttle, also managed to get a ok tune in, not 100% as of right now Here's a video I recorded *WARNING* It'd windy so there is lots of wind noises

In need of a Collet for the x4.6

Might have been that too, but I actually lostened the screw that holds all the bearings and washers in place on the engine and the clutch bell spun freely! Looks like I made a easy mistake on the rebuild :)
