    RC Screwz are Junk!

I believe you when you say their product is excellent. The problem is shipping a box full to Canada. I think the import charges are out of hand for most stuff I by from the U.S.

    RC Screwz are Junk!

Dubro for me! Quality hardware, never had an issue with stripped screws. The worst has to be the screws that came on my Stampede 4X4 VXL. Stripped everyone of those suckers. All have been replaced with Dubro Hardware. A suggestion, where ever you can use a cap head screw, do so. I find...

    Engine swap to 5.9

In case you doubt my previous post. I went from a Stock Savage X w/O.S. 30VG to XL TVPs and XL engine plate. Same engine, same mount. I only noticed they where bent (plate and braces were bowed and cracked) when I pulled it all apart. You may also want to swap out the engine plate for the XL...

    4.6 savage x starting problems

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXNFZ4&P=ML This is my solution. I have had this OWB in my Tower terror since it first came out. I use a corded power drill to start it. Practically indestructible. I have a few extras I plan on mounting on my Savages when the OWB dies. It's...

    Engine swap to 5.9

Do you jump your truck a lot? If so remove your engine plate and braces. Check if they are bent, had that issue a few years ago. Difference was I couldn't get everything meshed up properly it was bowed pretty bad. Hope this helps.

HPI Savage Bearing Kit from FastEddy Giveaway!

Count me in. My Savage still has all it's original bearings. I haven't had an issue due to my OCD about keeping it properly maintained. It's a first Edition X with the 4.1 engine (long gone).

    Anyone use HPI Goliath tires

I had already changed out my steering servo. I put in a Hitec which has all metal gears and about 300 oz of torque. I was able to turn them full lock when it wasn't moving. Never had a problem with roll overs, my a-arms are petty level, though.

Savage X upgrading to 5.9 (or other)

O.S. 30VG gets my vote. Ran 13 gallons of fuel through it before it needed a new back bearing an bushing.

    need help with shocks

Try the Genesis shocks, they're not as big as Lst shocks. No extra parts for mounting them up. I have eight on my Savy, but you could easily just use 4. I think it's one of the better upgrades for the Savage, very inexpensive too.

    Anyone use HPI Goliath tires

Hi, I own a set. Ran them on the X platform, They are great tires, but I had to upgrade my center rear drive shaft. The stock ones would just disintegrate. I thing the drive shafts are beefier on the XL, you should be good to go.
