    Savage flux xs

Wow that's a ton of grease in there. I hope you cleaned it out.

Needed upgrades out the box for 2s

Diffs are nearly bulletproof on 2s. I've never run 3s on mine. Also I can't recommend the CVDs enough. Worth every penny.

    Savage Xs Flux acceleration issue

Don't know if you figured this out yet, but I managed to nuke an ESC and it did the same thing. Hope it works out for ya.

    Show off your Savage XS!

I know you posted this a long time ago but your tires are on backwards.

We're talking about the XS. Nowhere near the same thing.

    Parts availability?

For the XS, I haven't had too much trouble getting parts. The worst was the slipper clutch for awhile, but those seem to be readily available these days.

    joined the Savage XS club!

Is that a 1/10th scale body?

    stop and go trouble shooting

I'm pretty sure this is going to be the LiPo cutoff issue. When you put a load on a NiMH the voltage drops way more than it does on a LiPo, so it's more likely to trip the cutoff.

Chassis extension for the HPI savage xs ss?

Me too, probably. That wheely king body looks good.

Chassis extension for the HPI savage xs ss?

I've never seen one. I'd love to make my chassis a bit longer though. I did see a video on youtube that was in a foreign language that showed an all aluminum chassis for the XS though. Never did find out where it came from.

The front and rear diffs are identical. I'll agree this truck is not the easiest to work on but it sure is fun once everything comes together.

    Savage xs slipper pads destroyed

I don't think it's the diffs or a missing pin or a set screw on an output shaft. The thing isn't moving at all. If he was missing one of those it would still move.

    Savage xs slipper pads destroyed

The pinion is the gear that attaches to the output shaft of the motor. It's held on by a small set screw that can back out over time. Get some blue loctite before you start taking things apart.

Sounds like your pinion is loose.

How many Rc's do you have?

    Savage XS and a Losi 8ight-e 3.0.

    Savage xs slipper pads destroyed

There are already MANY posts about this. My current slipper is on pack 5. I added a shim to the shafts and tightened the nut all the way down. Seems to be working pretty well so far.

    Should have listened!!! ;)

Sounds like it's time for some upgrades. :D

    XS Flux drivetrain durability

Mine's been really reliable as far as broken parts go. I did strip a ring gear in one of the diffs but I think that's because I didn't shim it correctly. As is already mentioned dozens of times in this forum, the weak point is the slipper clutch. If you can find them you better buy as many as...

    Body for xs

I went to my LHS to size some. I tried bodies for stampedes and similar sized trucks and they're all just a hair too long so they hang over the bumpers. They'd get messed up really fast like that.
