How can I gear lower?

I just bought some Immex jumbo kong tires they are 8.5 inches tall I put on a 12/52 combo clutch spurr is there any other options to gear lower, tranny or diffs? I have a axial.28 and a 3speed conversion the 1st gear is 18/44 it's very slugish out of the hole,I know the tires are alot heavier...
