brakes = stalling

Hi guys, I'm brand new to this forum. I just recently broke-in my new Savage XL. The problem i'm having is that, everytime I go to the use the brakes it stalls the engine (probably because of how much the carb closes)...how can I fix this? I've already tried: - shortenting the...
